The Phillies buy out Shane Victorino’s arbitration years and his first year of free agency with a three-year contract.
Shane’s a decent offensive player, but I would be a bit concerned that his defense has fallen off the last two years. Still, the contract takes the Phillies through his prime years, and means they don’t have to worry about the arbitration process again.
