New Balance launches eco-shoe collection,
running shoes supplier asics
Runner-driven sneaker company New Balance is on their way to adding an eco-driven collection of shoes to its outdoor line of durable,
asics phoenix running shoes, reliable footwear.
These shoes will include environmentally-friendly materials,
ASICS Gel-Evolution 6 - Men's, as well as construction and manufacturing. Dubbed the New Balance 70,
2009 asics running shoes, its to be launched later this month.
The company claims that 75% of its components are made of sustainable materials,
ASICS GT-2150 - Men's, and other parts,
ASICS Gel Rocket 5 - Women's, including the laces and webbing,
ASICS Gel 1120V - Women's, are developed from recycled polyester. Fewer solvents and other synthetics make up the remainder.
Combined with this is the addition of a rice husk filler in the outsole,
ASICS Gel-DS Trainer 16 - Women's, which reduces the amount of rubber – and therefore petroleum – needed. The adhesives are water based,
ASICS Gel-1160 - Women's, and no extra wrapping and stuffing is used in the packaging.
