Observe your personal and collective worlds. Watch for opportunities that are waiting for your touch, for your assistance, for your love. Those opportunities are everywhere. Just look.
Take the time to discover your true agenda. What might be hidden from yourself as well others? Can you expand your narrow focus? You can. So, do it. Now.
Ask yourself this question: Does what I want contribute to the Higher Good? Is it motivated by compassion rather than just self-interest?
"As for me, I know of nothing but miracles." Walt Whitman
What do I mean by "Miracle Minded?"
A reminder: You're going to be motivated by self-interest all the time. It's the way of things. Even reading this article is prompted by self-interest. A wise choice, though, is to look outside self-interest now and then to see the bigger picture. Where can you add some positive flavor, some assistance that only you can offer? Again, you have the power to do so. So, do so. The benefits will surprise you.
It isn't necessary to be harsh with yourself if you find a bit of selfishness within your activities in the world. It's only necessary to look at them, assess them

This data is entered into the Daily Weigh-In Form, which I introduced last posting. Here's the form again:Let's focus on the concept of necessity. In the fourth column, you assign each purchase a Necessity Score: 0 if the purchase is totally unnecessary, 1/3 if it's not very necessary, 2/3 if it's pretty necessary, and 1 if it's entirely necessary. There is
asics onitsuka shoes, of course, a certain subjectivity to assigning necessity scores; the decision will depend to some extent on your psychological awareness, even on your existing debt level and your present and future expenses. But here's a rough guide. If you fell and broke your leg during the week, the check to the orthopedist would be entirely necessary; you'd give that a Necessity Score of 1.

Too much to ask? Hardly. You may not think you can live up to all that "goody-goody two shoes" stuff but you don't have to--just yet. You're developing a mindset here and it can take a while to change your (in some cases) lifelong habits that have kept you from seeing the incredible manifestations that are taking place around you all the time. So, I offer three more ways to create the mindset that experiences miracles day by day, moment by moment:
The gift of the universe to you is more talent and ability than you can possible use in a single lifetime. Your gift to the universe is to develop those talents and abilities to the highest levels that you can while you live. And the fun twist is, you cannot use your gifts and talents to help others without helping yourself. Guaranteed.
We may think our wants equal our needs. In other words, that we just have to have a certain pair of shoes or gadget to be happy, successful, etc. While this can seem simple when we're talking about basic needs like shelter and food, it can get murky when we're looking at other items. Here's an easy way to really get conscious about determining the difference between a need and want.Weighing In is a technique for cutting through the financial fog that envelops so many overshoppers. Weighing In involves the disciplined recording of purchases-and something more. You also categorize each purchase, choosing from a master list that groups expenses into logical bins: Home, Food, Clothing, Entertainment, Education, and so on. And you assign each purchase a Necessity Score, based on your dispassionate evaluation of how much you need it. (Need, not want.)
*Service to the world is not some religious dictum. It's the way the universe works. What goes around, comes around. It serves you as much as the other. You can bank on that principle!
