NIKE CR MERCURIAL VAPOR SUPERFLY III
Today Nike launched the much anticipated Black/Volt/Dark Shadow CR Mercurial Vapor Superfly III football boots.
Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has been wearing Nike football boots for years. His years of service (and his global profile) resulted in Nike giving the Real Madrid forward his own colourway – the much debated original CR7 Safari Superfly II which came in an outlandish leopard-skin print White/Total Orange/Black colourway
Now six months on from the Superfly II Safari, Nike have released a new bespoke signature Safari for the recently released Superfly III football boots. The print was inspired by the 1987 Nike Air Safari running shoe but has been reincarnated in this tonal black-on-black safari print. The Superfly III is an evolution of the Superfly II just as this colourway is of the original Safari print.
The Nike CR Safari print has been reinvigorated on the second evolution of Cristiano Ronaldo’s boot, wrapping the entire cleat and laces for a bold blacked-out effect. The CR Superfly III is set apart from the rest of the Superfly III by the new instep pattern the distinctive volt green geometric pattern features on the heel while trademark Nike swoosh wraps the forefoot.
The CR Superfly III features the same technologies as any other Superfly III. The sole plates features adaptive NikeSENSE studs, that extend by up to 3mm to offer on-demand traction while directionally positioned blades maximize cutting and allow for quick changes of direction. Secondary toe traction provides added toe-off power for those first critical steps. This allows players to speed up or slow down and make rapid changes of direction in adverse pitch conditions.

The new Black/Volt/Dark Shadow CR Mercurial Vapor Superfly III will be available to pre-order from 15/04/11 from selected retailers and will cost the same as your standard Superfly III.
