David Bell Admits to Receiving HCG Shipments
John Rocker,
tod's handbags, Jose Canseco and David Bell were the latest 3 athletes named as alleged clients of performance-enhancing drugs in SI.com's on-going scope of the allied inquiry of a purported steroid and HGH delivery ring.
Canseco has famously confessed steroid abuse in the past, so no wonder there. Rocker allegedly received shipments for HGH behind in 2003, a year afterward he last arose in the majors. Needless to say, nor player seems particularly pertinent for our intentions, since both players allegedly received the drugs after they were out of the majors for agreeable.
The label that should garner the most care is that of David Bell, who's no on a roster this year but split final season between the Phillies and Brewers. From SI.com:David Bell, a veteran of a dozen major league seasons, received six packages of HCG at a Philadelphia residence last April,
hongan it, when he played for the Phillies. The price was $128.80, and the drug was prescribed in conjunction with an Arizona antiaging facility. Bell acknowledges receiving the cargo but tells SI the drug was prescribed to him "for a medical condition," which he declined to uncover,

The natural inclination is to rush to judgment and assume that he took the drugs so that he could acquire an vantage on the baseball diamond (an advantage,
nike 6.0 shoes, that is, over his otherwise decrepit capabilities, since he was not an of the most talented on the field...), but how do we know? Doesn't it seem mysterious that his medical records -- alternatively at least,
womens timberlands, his recipe history -- are immediately portion of the public domain without the benefit of a trial?
Maybe Gary Sheffield is right -- this definitely has a "hag hunt" aura surrounding it.
Update: As commenter No. 2 pointed out under, my initial headline and post said Bell received HGH, when the story really said HCG. (I have not problem using that the fact I confused the 2 for an instance of how generally ill-equipped the media is in having a chat almost performance-enhancing pills. But I digress ...) According apt Wikipedia, HCG namely "human chorionic gonadotropin." It has several remedial uses, merely is too frequently accustom in conjunction with anabolic steroids apt "restore / preserve testosterone creation in the testes." Make of it what you will.
