We currently offer four courses. An exciting Elementary course to get you started in your career and an Advanced course enhancing your creativity and advancement in the wonderful world of hairdressing.

Our Auckland College offers Youth Training as a fully funded option by the Government. For students under the age of 18 this course includes numeracy and literacy. Criteria applies.

Our Hawkes Bay and Wellington College offers Youth Guarantee that is free to the student. Criteria applies. (See FAQ section)

Each course has been developed to be enjoyable and rewarding. Each of our tutors are chosen for their high level of skill and their commitment to teaching in accordance with the highest standards. You can expect to become immersed in the practical aspects of hairdressing, as well as enough theory to stand you in good stead once you become employed. We take a lot of pride in our reputation for providing the industry with well trained people and we are confident that each of our students receive the learning they need to be successful.

Elementary Course
Premier Hairdressing College Certificate in Hairdressing
Duration: 38 weeks tuition plus 3 weeks holiday = 41 weeks
Hours:

Hours may change in 2011

Monday to Thursday 9am - 4 pm, Friday 9am to 1pm.
Outcome: Intermediate or Seniors Assistant in a salon (dependent on credits achieved) Advanced Course
Premier Hairdressing College Certificate in Advanced Hairdressing

An enhancement of the Elementary course. Become a creative hairdresser using advanced techniques. A chance to catch up on that odd unit you did not complete in the Elementary Course.
Duration: 24 weeks tuition plus 2 weeks holiday = 26 weeks. Hours: Monday to Thursday 9am - 4pm, Friday 9am - 1 pm. Outcome: Near completion of a National Certificate in Hairdressing

Youth Training Course - Free
This course is available at our Auckland College and is free to learners. Criteria applies. If you would like to know if you are eligible ring our Head of Youth Training at our Auckland College 09 489 9035 .


Youth Guarantee Course - Free

Premier is proud to be selected to be part of the Youth Guarantee Scheme and has 10 places in Napier and 10 places in Wellington for eligible students in 2011. Youth Guarantee is aimed at young people who are ready to move beyond school,GHD 2011, but who still want to study and learn practical skills.
