Although Windows Vista has long been out considering that January (or November, when you;re a small business client), one can find nevertheless goods and applications — including some from Microsoft itself — that don;t work with Vista.The latest situation in point: Windows Mobile 6.0. Users running Windows Vista PCs and WIindows Mobile 6.0 devices who have been attempting to sync their files using Vista;s Windows Mobile Device Center have been running into problems, as reported earlier this month on the Brighthand.com site, and again this week by Engadget.Microsoft says a fix is coming by mid-June. According to a Microsoft spokeswoman:“Currently, Windows Mobile 6 users can synchronize files between PCs and Smartphones with ActiveSync 4.5. Microsoft will update Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) on Windows Vista PCs to support file synchronization with Windows Mobile 6 by mid-June. We;re looking forward to offering the WMDC synchronize option very soon.”It doesn;t seem like Vista timing can be blamed for this disconnect. Windows 7 Pro, 2006. Microsoft released the final version of the Windows Mobile Device Center in February 2007. And it released to manufacturing Windows Mobile 6.0 in February, as well.
