[UPDATED 3/13/11] Support Offered for the people Impacted by Earthquake in Japan

Office 2010 Professional Plus Key, NC -- As the affect of the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan unfolds
Windows 7 Starter, Duke is closely monitoring the situation and extends its thoughts and prayers towards the individuals affected by this disaster.
As of Sunday, the university had accounted for all Duke-affiliated travelers who it had been aware of becoming in Japan, and none was in any danger.
"We are conscious of greater than 40 pupils that are in Japan and in other spots in the Pacific and on the West coast of the U.S.
Office 2007 Pro," stated Kyle Cavanaugh, vice president for Human Sources and Duke's emergency coordinator. " We now have confirmed the whereabouts of some pupils and proceed to operate to find out the standing of other people."
Duke employed its social media sites, e mail and other methods to get in touch with the pupils it had not yet heard from.
"On behalf of Duke University, I would like to express our shared grief with the people of Japan after the devastating earthquake and tsunami," explained Duke President Richard H. Brodhead. "We also offer our help to our faculty, staff

Students in affected areas are being encouraged to stay in contact with their program leaders. Assist for any Duke student, faculty or staff member abroad on a Duke program is available through the university's travel assistance program.

Duke also will be reaching out to students on campus whose families may have been impacted by the catastrophe. Students on campus who need assistance services should get in touch with Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS), and faculty or staff in need of assist should make contact with the Personal Assistance Service (PAS).
