So I’m seeing some crap ashore TV last night and I look a commercial for some new class of crap: “Hole in a Wall.”
Now, I lost faith in the creativity of reality-show makers nigh the period when 3 different webs had versions of karaoke/”Do You Know The Words?”-type shows on at the same time, yet “Hole in a Wall” sets a new standard of ridiculousness. The idea (surely ripped from British or Japanese TV) is that you stand on a platform as a wall with a oddly-shaped aperture in it comes moving towards you. Before it gets there,

When I was in institute, a basketball athlete who was in 1 of my Communications classes had a summer internship at FOXSports, and when there pitched an idea for a show cried “America’s Next Top Draft Pick,” where aspiring pro ballplayers contended in assorted challenges ― anything from three-point shooting to beating behind groupies and financial sharks ― for the final award of one NBA tryout.
That’s not a bad idea. Definitely worth watching more than someone attempting to fit through a hole in a wall.
