Organising successful school fundraising events often comes down to having a great team of volunteers. Having the right people in place is a vital part of every good fundraiser. The trouble is of course that committed individuals with a sense of fun,Air Jordan 11, and time on their hands are in short supply.

It seems to me that a great many schools are failing to utilise an untapped resource that is staring them in the face. Grandparents
This was brought home sharply to me recently after attending a school fair. Several of the stalls had been built and were manned by the grandparents of pupils at the school. If you think about it its obvious. Who better to spend time lovingly building and painting a brilliant Splat The Rat stall. The old boy who had put this one together was in his element teasing the kids with the rats. Similarly they had someone's Granny done up as a Gypsy Fortune Teller which proved to be another really popular attraction.
The refreshment stall is another area where you might like to get some 'senior' input. After all who makes cookies like granny? Or how about one of Grandad's special hot dogs from the barbecue.
There is of course another reason for involving older people too. It brings people together. Isn't that what we all want deep down. The best community events should involve all the community
There are no end to the possibilities to get this older generation involved in your school fundraising. All you have to do is ask. When the kids go home with their flyers requesting adult help at the annual fete simply add a "grandparents welcome" sentence. I think you will be surprised how many come forward.
So if you want a really easy fundraising idea
Go Out and Grab a Granny.
