Time For New Fitness Shoes? | Exercise | Fitness Mind Body
I am so upset… I just recently bought an amazing pair shoes that weren’t cheap at all. Actually they were over a hundred dollars. They felt great on my feet chanel handbags too, but I am hard on my shoes. I teach boot camps multiple times a day, workout myself several days a week and put on several miles just walking about. I made the mistake to get a shoe with a mesh covering. After just two months I noticed that the mesh already has holes in them! Workout shoes are obviously a key component to a great workout plan so you can understand my frustrations. And while my shoes did not hide the fact that they need to be replaced I do have several clients who’s shoes aren’t so obvious. So then how can you tell if you need new shoes? If you don’t remember when you got them that might be a sign it’s time for a new pair. Check out the bottoms, is the tracking all messed up and smooth? If you’re a big runner it’s important to replace shoes every 300 miles or so… or every 3-5 months. What’s wrong with old shoes? Doing exercise routines in old shoes can end up bad. You can cause stress to your bones, joints and muscles and end up injured. Shin splits are often an example of poor shoes, as are hip and back pain. This is one thing you don’t want to go “cheap” on, go to a running store where they can examine your gait and give you a pair of shoes that will fit your lifestyle and your body type. For example, I need a high support lv handbags shoe with an arch orthotic to help my ankles from rolling in (a natural habit of mine). If going to see a specialist is a bit out of your price range (expect to spend around 20 more), then read reviews on the shoes you’re interested in. Before making a purchase or even going to try on shoes I do some research to see which brands and styles are working for other women like me that need cross training shoes. I am definitely not one of those that feels you should wear a different shoe for running, and another for boot camp workouts… find one that fits your lifestyle and activities.
