MIAMI – Cowboys running back Tashard Choice andÂ*four other veterans didn't make the trip to South Florida for the club's preseason finale against the Dolphins at 6:30 tonight at Sun Life Stadium. Choice was left at home because of a minor knee injury, according to the team's website. Cornerback Terence Newman (groin), linebacker Bradie James (foot), wide receiver Miles Austin (hamstring)Â*and right guard Kyle Kosier (back) also remained in Dallas. With Choice out and coach Jason Garrett expected to keep most of the starters on the sideline, it appears that rookie DeMarco Murray and on-the-bubble players Phillip UGGS Clearance Sale Tanner and Lonyae Miller will get the bulk of the carries. Choice made his preseason debut last week in the 23-17 win over Minnesota. He missed the bulk of training camp with a calf injury. Both Dallas and Miami are 2-1. The Cowboys could be in the market for some free agents once the final cut to 53 players is made UGG Boots Outlet Saturday. Among the positions Dallas could try to bolster include receiver, fullback, safety and offensive tackle. Â*"We have good competition in a lot of different spots, and we have some hard decisions to make," Garrett said. RATLIFF EXTENSION?: A comment by owner Jerry Jones at the club's annual kickoff luncheon Wednesday sparked speculation that Pro Bowl nose tackle Jay Ratliff could be in line for a contract extension. "Jay Ratliff will tell you, ‘You've got a big issue, Jerry, with my salary. I need a little more money,' " Jones said, teasingly. "We all want more money." Ratliff is set to earn 3.75 million this season. "I would not characterize our position as unhappy, but I would agree with the characterization that he's outperformed the contract," Ratliff's agent, Mark Slough, told ESPNDallas.com.
