Oakley is allowing you to get your geek on -- literally, like on your face. The company is planning to hop on the "TRON: Legacy" train, announcing tie-in, limited-edition 3D eyewear. In other words, while everyone else in is trapping on those germ-invested freebies that the theater gives out, you will be showing just what a geeky super-fan you really are.

The TRON Limited Edition 3D Gascan by Oakley will be available for purchase starting next month. That means, you should be able to snag a pair in plenty of time to wear to the premiere of "TRON: Legacy" on December 17,ray ban 2140, 2010.
Movie tie-ins are nice when they are McDonald's toys and masks and whatnot. However, this pair o' glasses will cost you a cool $150 -- for what the theater is basically giving away for free.
Of course, they are boasting a better 3D experience, meaning the image should be better as well as your comfort level. The latter alone might be worth the cost. However, would you ever buy your own 3D glasses, like to take to the theater? Remember, these babies won't help you at home -- at least not to watch 3D. Here is what Oakley has to say about the product:
"The premiere of TRON: Legacy is a great opportunity for us to introduce moviegoers to the unique innovations of Oakley 3D eyewear," said Oakley CEO Colin Baden. "This film will be an incredible visual experience, and those who view it with Oakley 3D eyewear will get the most out of it by enjoying the clarity and 3D performance of unparalleled design. We are honored to collaborate with Disney for this special event, and we look forward to opening the world’s eyes to the ultimate 3D experience with Oakley 3D eyewear."
