All the buttons and controls match the feel of my 30D which is important so you don't miss a shot. And for me, it is actually more comfortable to hold in landscape mode but even more Canon 350D Battery Grip so in portrait as it adds some bulk to he grip in that mode. I also like that the details, the feel and the textures match my 30D body. This is an excellent grip and should be at the top Canon 400D Battery Grip of the accessories purchase list even before a good flash. Highly recommended!
