So I idea,0 I would show you guys some excellent vintage-inspired winter coats and sweaters to spice up your November-to-April closets.
Vintage-Inspired Coats
Product Information: Peacoat (in Navy) – American Eagle Outfitters. Vintage Blazer – American Eagle Outfiters. Union of Plaid coat – Modcloth.
I love these coats! I chose two – the AE peacoat and the ModCloth coat – that would be perfect for layering in cold weather. The medium blazer would be perfect for locations where it doesn’t get very so cold and a solemn winter jacket isn’t required. (If you’ve fallen in love with the Vintage Blazer from AE too, good news – it is currently on clearance!)
You don’t have to purchase fashionable, although – there are many great coats in vintage and thrift stores. When shopping for a coat in a vintage or thrift store, look for great patterns (plaids are quite chilly and fabulous for winter) and also look in solitary touches – many older coats have intricate details, mbt shoes for sale, favor the buttons and stitching, which are what makes them so one-of-a-kind. Make sure the coat fits you well in the elbows and bust and is a good width for your height. As always, watch for any tears, holes, or areas of accentuate.
Not sure how you’d wear a coat like the ones upon? Keep reading!

Product Information: ######y Scoop sweater (in Smoky Brown Heather) – American Eagle Outfitters. Miso Sparkle Jegging – Republic. Dakota Velvet shoe – Forever 21. Gold Studded Bangle set – Dorothy Perkins. Linear Wood Heart earrings – Moxsie.
I love the flirty, amenable details of this jacket, which aid balance out its slightly menswear-inspired manner.
For this kit, I judged to layer a uncomplicated brown sweater with some jeggings beneath the coat. I chose jeggings for one cardinal reason: they’re great for tucking into high boots! I kept the color palette simple and sophisticated, letting the jacket stand on its own and then addition some excellent sparkle with earrings and a set of bangles.
Vintage-Inspired Sweaters
Product Information: Sugar Plum sweater – ModCloth. Black Batwing sweater – Rokit. The Izzie Sweater – ModCloth.
It would not be one overstatement to say that my favorite treatise of clothing is sweaters! They work with nearly any outfit in almost any climate. They look great with skirts or jeans, under clothes, over clothes, under coats, on their own… I could go on and on!
I chose these 3 vintage-inspired sweaters for their shapes. The Sugar Plum sweater looks so comfortable with its slightly baggy shape. (It would work well with skinny jeans!) The Batwing sweater is a slouchier shape, which manner it would go nicely with structured pieces like a great pencil skirt or your favorite dressy jeans. Finally, the Izzie sweater is so puritanical and cute, tods sale 2010, it would look great with hardly ever everything!
When looking because sweaters in vintage and thrift marts, pay consideration to detail: look for great patterns, shapes, and embellishments. As all, watch out for apertures or tears and make sure the fit is right – sweaters can stretch over period, so you might no wear your usual size. Also, pay attention to laundering instructions ashore your vintage sweater! Make certain,0 you recognize what fabric it’s made out of and whether alternatively not it absences to be dry washed!
Keep perusing apt study how apt dress these amazing sweaters!
How to Wear a Vintage-Inspired Sweater
Product Information: Olivia Skirt – Delia’s. Snap Collar Leatherette Jacket – Forever 21. Ruffled Faux Leather Ballet flats – Old Navy. Betsey Johnson Patchwork Bow Drop earrings – Zappos.
I decided to pair this muted brown sweater with a pretty violet skirt – it provides a pop of color without overwhelming the excellent devise of the sweater.
Some chic flats and a great (faux) leather jacket provide a little bit of contemporary flair. (Of course, you could always skip the jacket if you just absence to show off the sweater.) If it is especially chilly where you alive,0, I would multiplication some dark tights or leggings to give a tiny morsel of warmheartedness in the leg. You could always alternate out the skirt for a great pair of jeans – I think a media clean denim would look great with this sweater as well.
What do you think?
What do you meditation of these vintage-inspired winter items? How would you wear these overcoats and sweaters? Let me know in the comments!

MBT (Masai Barefoot Technology) was born in 1996 when we discovered that natural instability can have positive effects on the human body. We made this discovery by observing the wonderfully agile Masai people walking barefoot on natural, uneven ground. Seeing these people in action made us realize that the human body is simply not designed to walk or stand on the hard, flat surfaces of modern society. So we set out to develop a new kind of footwear, one that would mimic walking on soft, uneven ground. The results have been dramatic and revolutionary. MBTs are now sold in more than 55 countries around the world and many enthusiastic users enjoy wearing MBTs.
When Vibram founder, Vitale Bramani, invented the first rubber soles for mountaineering boots in 1935, it was the beginning of a revolution. Now 75 years later, Vibram is still known around the world as the undisputed leader in soling technology for a wide range of quality performance footwear products. Vibram manufactures more than 34 million soles annually for more than 1,000 premium footwear brands worldwide.
