Adore Dare's current publish Alter the Planet or Go Property: Why I Enjoy Working at Microsoft ... , and no, not because I write a blog about working at Microsoft ... but because it's about figuring out what's important to you in a job - whether that's working at MS or somewhere else. Long-time readers know that I left Microsoft a couple years ago. Like Dare, I hit that 5 year mark and thought a lot about what the next step in my career should be. I thought about joining some other big players out there, but I didn't definitely see how they were going to give me something different - but I did decide to take the leap and go independent along with another former Microsoftie. After about a year, I realized more than anything that I missed being a part of a team, working together toward a common goal. Being indie was fun and ever-changing,Office 2007 Ultimate, but I truly missed the camaraderie of a team-based environment. So I again did my due diligence and explored some pretty exiting options with other companies. But they just didn't match what I had already experienced - and could keep experiencing - at MS. Say what you will (I have said it plenty of times myself ... probably even here on this blog ,Office Professional Plus 2007 Key, but Microsoft's ability to provide varied and exciting work (and even honor flexible work arrangements rocks. And I - without a doubt - am now working with some of the most amazingly talented - and fun - people out there. I am so thankful for my journey,Office 2010 Sale, but I wouldn't give up my job now for anything. So, just my story. Everyone is different, and I know Microsoft isn't the right company for each person. I totally get that.
