The signs are on the horizon. Tough times may be coming soon. Nobody really wants to talk about it but another recession may be here. Unfortunately people, schools and charities still need money. Well how do those with good intentions still generate money when it's harder to come by?
Even through tough times you must continue to fundraise. The worst thing you can do is stop or cut back. Your needs are still there and if you stop you'll have to face them with a dwindling income stream. If you cut back on your fundraising you're looking at making cuts to your programs. Whatever strategy you take for fundraising through a recession,Jordan 11 Run a Successful Cookie Dough Fundraisin, the main point is to just keep going.
What Options Does Your Fundraising Campaign Have During a Recession?
There are products available which would appeal to consumers in tough economic times. According to John Quelch's BusinessWeek article Hot to Market in a Recession customers will be looking for the best deal, and added value. How about giving your donors valuable coupons to multiple stores with a Skratchers card fundraiser (www.skratchers.com)? The cards raise funds by a donor scratching off two circles; under the circles are amounts ranging from.50 cents to 3.00. The combination of the two numbers will be the donors' contribution. In return for the contribution, the donor receives coupons for national stores like Subway,Air Jordan, Pizza Hut and Blockbuster where they can save on a future purchase. The coupons for stores have a savings value of over $50,Jordan 4!
Another consideration for a successful fundraising campaign in these times, is the price of the items you're trying to sell. If you find that your supporters may be reluctant to purchase $10 - $20 items such as gift wrap and magazines,Space Jams Air Jordan, you do have the option of switching tactics and adjusting your aims. For pocket change of 50 cents to $1,Nike Jordan 1, your supporters can buy healthy fundraising products like Welch's fruit snacks and Jack Link's beef sticks,Jordan 1, offered by companies like JustFundraising.com. Even consider selling the more traditional candy bars and lollipops. If you find that supporters aren't willing to spend for the bigger ticket item,Jordan 11, switch tactics and sell popular items that cost less.
Another simple marketing idea to help you to fundraise through a recession is to keep in touch with your donors. It's no investment financially,Air Jordan 2011, creates a bond with your donors and can continue a revenue flow. Do you have a list of people or organizations that donate? Usually just an email or phone call will remind them of your needs. It helps to keep your name out there and active. In return, people feel good knowing that their donation hasn't been forgotten. Studies have shown that people are more willing to give if they understand the benefit of the donation.
Keep Up Your Fundraising Goals
The common advice that you hear from strategists is that the recession may mean changing how things are done, not stopping what needs to be done. You may contact justfundraising.com to find out the best way to help you fundraising through a recession.
