Really? That seems a little extreme. Of course this shouldn’t have happened,

But the sort of all or nothing response we tend to turn to in this country is not particularly helpful. Mistakes will happen anywhere. By all accounts this is a good, safe center that made one mistake. I’m not sure the word “punishment” is appropriate, as though the entire center were an unruly child. These sort of events tent to be self punishing at any rate, since doubtless, some parents will pull thier kids from the day care.
I would be much more concerned if the kid had been left at the park,

Obviously leaving a toddler unsupervised for 2 hours is a horrible idea, but if a kid is goin to be forgotten anywhere, a day care is probably the safest place it could happen.
