Phoenix Suns announce tease of a preseason schedule
With labor negotiations moving at a glacially slow pace, the NBA announced belstaff brad jacket a preseason slate on Thursday that is doubtful to be played. In fact, it could be optimistic to presume that preseason time is when these talks will finally start heating up. However, in case there is a preseason we learned that the Suns will be making their third straight preseason trip to Steve Nash’s hometown province of British Columbia, where Two Time is revered. The Suns will play Portland in that Oct. 17 game at Rogers Arena in Vancouver. For the first time in three years the Suns will not be staging an outdoors game at the Indian Wells tennis facility, just as well for a game that would likely have been cancelled anyway. The Suns will host three of their seven preseason affairs, including games against the Clippers on Oct. 11 in their preseason opener, the Nuggets on Oct. 20 and the Thunder on Oct. 25 in their preseason finale. Phoenix’s road games will be played Oct. 15 at Portland, Oct. 18 at Golden State and Oct. 23 in Denver. It’s nice that the NBA is putting on the “business as usual front” by scheduling these belstaff online preseason games, but at this point it seems like wishful thinking to presume they will be played. Suns links Mark Milner from The Good Point takes a nostalgic look backÂ*at the Seven Seconds or Less Suns. His conclusion: “Still, those Suns teams were more fun to watch than anything else in the NBA at the time. They exploded the same year two defensively-oriented teams – the Spurs and Detroit Pistons – played a forgettable seven-game final. They ushered in three great postseasons and, I’d argue, some of the best basketball of the decade. Titles or not, that should be enough to remember them by.” Michael Pina at Shaky Ankles celebrates Steve Nash’s underrated handleÂ*and provides a belstaff blouson fun Nash highlight from last year’s Spurs series in video form. The Arizona Republic’s Paul Coro reports that Phoenix Suns Charities gave awayÂ*”a record 1.36 million in grants and scholarships to a record 178 non-profit organizations” this year. Said charity executive directoryÂ*Kathryn Pidgeon: “Our donors believe in what we’re doing. They’ve watched us. They’ve seen where we’ve put the money. They see that we’re honorable and they trust us.” Former Suns assistant coach Scotty Robertson passed away at the age of 81 on Thursday after battling cancer, as The Salt Lake Tribune reports. Jared SLAM ONLINE | » Denver Nuggets GM: African Basketball Has ... Dudley recently took part in a fan Twitter interview on HoopsHype. He touched on topics such asÂ*Bill Simmons’ oddsÂ*that he will come back overweight after the lockout, what he considers in deciding whether or not to go overseas and whether he would trade Nash if he ran the Suns.
