I up to date to Workplace 2007/Visio 2007 employing my Microsoft Empower ISV account. I'm working with Visio to model and cultivate a complex database. When I check out generate the database,
Office Pro Plus 2010, the menu alternatives are no longer on hand. When I look for support,
Windows 7 Professional Key, Visio tells me,
Office 2007 Enterprise, "the Create and Update commands are not to choose from in the Standard and Professional editions of Microsoft Office Visio 2003 or Microsoft Workplace Visio 2007."
So my upgrade has turned into a downgrade. I cannot use the vsd file in an earlier version of Visio,
Office 2007 Pro, and I can't even find where to purchase Visio for Enterprise Architects. There are lots of references on the web to books,
Windows 7 X64, but how much will the software cost?
I am quite upset by what I judge is a very poor choice by Microsoft. I am backed into a corner and see no way out. My development efforts are dead in the water.
