IT professionals connect on abilities upgrade
Information Technologies experts, educators and business
stakeholders will be convening at Manukau Institute of
Technologies (MIT) on March 19, to address capabilities demands in
Auckland’s fastest growing region, Counties Manukau.
As New Zealand industries evolve,Buy Office 2010, employers are looking
for IT professionals with new and varied capabilities sets. This
conference is significant as it will encourage further
collaboration between the tertiary training and commercial
sectors to ensure the skills shortage gap is addressed.
“The conference is aiming to ensure that future
programmes and courses at MIT match industries need for
multi-skilled employees both within NZ and
internationally,” says Brett O’Reily, CEO for NZCIT.
“Engagement such as this between educators and
stakeholders is critical to the development of NZ as a world
leading digital economy.”
Participants will
include representation from; Manukau Institute of
Technology, New Zealand Information and Communication
Technologies Group Inc (NZICT), New Zealand Computer Society
Inc. (NZCS), CISCO Systems Inc,Office 2010 Download, Microsoft and Certification
private training establishments (PTE’s).
“The
ICT environment is competitive and fast evolving; developing
confident, adaptive, employable professionals is paramount
for both MIT and New Zealand business at large,” says Mark
McNeill, Head of School,Office 2010 Key, Computing and IT (SoCIT) at MIT.
The conference will take place at the Faculty of
Business at MIT, Gate 12,Office 2010 Product Key, Otara Rd, Otara on Friday 19
March, from 8:30am to 1pm.
